Organic Peroxides

Arkema's extensive Luperox® product range is used for hot and cold curing of unsaturated polyester resins; the principle resin hardeners are ketone peroxides, peresters, perketals and benzoyl peroxides.

Luperox® K1	Methyl Ethyl Ketone Peroxide	Medium activity MEKP. A standard general purpose hardener for a variety of ambient temperature applications. Low hydrogen peroxide content makes K1 ideal for use in gel coats.
Luperox® K10	Methyl Ethyl Ketone Peroxide	Loactivity MEKP. Gives fast gel and cure times.
Luperox® K12	Methyl Ethyl Ketone Peroxide	Low activity MEKP that gives long gel times. Particularly suitable during the warm season and for large moulded pieces
Luperox® K2	Methyl Isobutyl Ketone Peroxide	Peroxide MIKP for short curing cycles at medium and high temperatures from 60°C to 120°C even without cobalt accelerator
Luperox® K21	Methyl Isobutyl Ketone Peroxide	As luperox K2 but longer pot life when used with cobalt accelerator
Luperox® K3	Acetyl Acetone Peroxide	Rapid propagation from gel to exothermic peak in many resin sytems. Useful for continuous and semi continuous production processes
Luperox® K4CE	Acetyl Acetone Peroxide	High activity cyclohexane peroxide. Ensures curing of even thick wall pieces without stress or crack formation.

Luperox® Z13	Ketone peroxide blend	Ketone peroxide blend
Luperox® Z19	Ketone peroxide blend	Special blend of ketone peroxide allowing controlled curing at temperatures >60°C.
Luperox® P	Perester Peroxides	Perester Peroxide, for hot press mouldings between 130°C to 160°
Luperox® 26	Perester Peroxides	Perester peroxide, for hot curing above 60°C. Requires transport & storage below 15°C
Luperox® DP10	Perester Peroxides	A substitute for Luperox 26 where storage and transport of this peroxide present a problem.
Luperox® 26SR90	Perester Peroxides	Activity like Luperox 26 but longer pot life in prepregs.
Luperox® 231M50	Perketals Peroxides	As luperox P but lower molding temperatures. Used when heavy metals are present which affect the pot life of perester peroxides.

Luperox® A75	Benzoyl peroxides	Benzoyl peroxide is used to cure both at room temperature amd medium temperatures. At ambient temperatures but requires the use of tertiary aromatic amines as activator, Mainly used for repair putties and mine bolts. In hot press molding, benzyl peroxide can be used alone and gives quick cycles at 100-120°C
